On my Aqua X570 mb neither of the Thunderbolt 3 ports recognize TB hard drives...won't even show them in file explorer...all the other drives recognize it (when I use a USB a-type adapter), but of course they do not transfer data at tb3 speed...ideas?

I am on BIOS P1.40 and yes I have installed all drivers...

The P1.60 BIOS update from 15Nov fixed it...gotta day I made the decision to invest in this mb due not only to the impressive specs and future-proof feature set, but also the reviews I saw for excellent Asrock customer service. That has not been my experience - after replying to my service notice within 24 hours to ask if I'd installed the drivers (seriously?) and my confirmation I had done so - I got no additional response...not to three follow-up replies over the course of the week...and I had to find out on my own there was a non-beta BIOS revision on the support site.
