I cannot install two NVME drives on my motherboard. The CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600x, and both NVME drives are Samsung, and are on the approved list. If I install one drive only, it is recognized whether it is installed in the main slot or in the back. Either NVME drive can be recognized if one drive is installed, but when I attempt to install both NVME drives one is always locked out.
I reviewed BIOS settings but could not identify if any configuration options were relevant to this issue. I know one NVME slot is driven by the CPU and I believe the back slot is driven by the chipset. This should work, but I'm clueless as to what is preventing me from using both NVME slots. Guidance would be greatly appreciated. |

Dear rd500g,
Thank you for the posting. There are some suggestions below for you to verify the system. 1. Clear CMOS by referring to user manual page. 26. User manual: https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B550%20Phantom%20Gaming-ITXax.pdf 2. Only install CPU, PSU, Cooler, RAM, Graphic card, SSDs and boot into BIOS\Advance\Storage Configuration to check if the SSD appears under this page. 3. Update the BIOS to latest version. 4. If possible, please use other SSDs to cross test. For further assistance, you can use our support form to contact us. https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp Thank you, Best wishes, ASRock TSD |
