Hello,

is it true that a Thunderbolt 3 device must be connected to have Thunderbolt 3 device show up in the device manager?

Setup:
Thunderbolt 3 AIC R2.0 + Fatal1ty H370 Performance

So far the card lights up blue and USB-C devices work. Since I do NOT have a Thunderbolt 3 device yet, I can't test TB3 function.

I am worried since no TB3 device shows up in device manager.

Thanks for your input on this matter.

regards
Jkin

Do not expect for answer from ASRock. No one from ASRock tech stuff reading and care about those posts. Even they are not responding via email...

Dear JKin,

Thank you for posting your query to ASRock forum.

Regarding your question about the TB3, it is required to plug a thunderbolt device to the thunderbolt AIC card in order for the thunderbolt information to show up under the Win10.

If a type C storage device is plugged, it will show up under the category of the disk drives under the device manager.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD
