i have the r5 1600af and the asrock b450 fatal1ty gaming k4, what is the best ram for it (2x8gb 3200mhz cl16) i sold my incompatible ram and now looking for good ones

ive been using/advising the crucial ballistix for a while now seems very happy on am4 ryzens

BUT

the official advice has to be ram listed as tested on the qvl by asrock

The Patriot Viper Steel kits are pretty good and pretty cheap. I don't know about the lower speed bins, but the faster ones are B-Die.

I've got the 4000mhz cl19 kit, and I've got it tuned to 3800 cl16. First gen ryzen won't hit that speed, but you could probably get 3200 cl12 if you did some tuning with it.

Should clarify I had two kits of this, both did that speed and timings with no fuss or extra voltage.

the advantage of this is if you upgrade to 3rd or 4th gen, you'll get to benefit from that extra speed, and it won't cost you too much more over a 3200mhz kit.
