First, do you have a USB flash drive to use?

The safest option, if you can't use instant flash, due to the bios revision being too old, is to use a bootable USB to do a DOS based bios flash.

If you need help making a bootable USB flash drive just ask.

I do not recommend the Windows based update, it is the least safe method. Any instability or issue during the process and your board will be bricked.

The DOS method is your best bet if your BIOS version does not support instant flash. Once you have updated then instant flash will become available (it has been added) and will make things easier the next time you need to update.

ASRock made a video here that shows the basic steps for all the different methods. The one you want is either instant flash or DOS.

it does seem the asrock support page for your board has only bios version 2.5 upwards
and all are listed as instant flash only
which i think is the problem your facing

may i suggest

contact asrock directly using the support 'ticket' system
e.g. open the issue as a broken motherboard and request
a dos based bios file to be emailed to you

please clearly state to them the exact bios version and bios date you are using at the moment AND ALSO the exact cpu you are using

they will send you a dos based file to update to the latest version suitable for your cpu that will then enable the instant flash option for any future upgrades to later 2000/3000 cpus

thank you for your reply
i did write to ASRock but haven't received any reply yet.
but i found one bios 1.4 dos executable from softpedia, link below:
https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/BIOS/Asrock/ASRock-Fatal1ty-AB350-Gaming-K4-BIOS-1-40.shtml
i downloaded and updated the bios successfully. after update, instant flash was available.
then i updated till bios version 5.80 and now i could run newly bought Rams at 3600mhz.
i am posting reply back because i think someone could benefit from softpedia link.
btw thanks a lot

You can also run a BIOS update while in the BIOS setup. You'll have to have the core file from the BIOS .zip file on a USB flash drive.
