Hi!

Thanks for this valuable info.

(I don't have this issue, but I'm sure that it will help someone, someday, that has this issue).

I have noticed slow boot to Windows 11, last BIOS time in Task Manager (shown when clicking on Startup apps) is between 99 and 105 seconds for every boot.

I noticed a white non-blinking underline or cursor at the upper right corner after turning on the PC plus a white LED is lit on the motherboard during the time this cursor is shown.

After the white LED is turned off, the boot continues with showing the AsRock text and Windows is starting up.

I have tried to find a solution (e.g. disable Fast Boot, no effect) and this is very painful because it also takes 100+ seconds to enter the BIOS each time I tried some settings.

Finally I found the solution:

Disabling this BIOS setting reduced the Last Boot Time to 14 seconds:

USB Mass Storage Driver Support

You will find this in the Advanced USB Configuration BIOS section.

I also tested if the new BIOS 4.03 would have this setting disabled or not, and yes it does.

You must disable this BIOS setting if you want to have the last boot time reducked. This has nothing to do with memory training (with enabled USB Mass Storage Device Support and memory training ongoing, the last boot time will be about 125 seconds).

I am well aware that no one at AsRock will be able to help with slow boot times because this topic is so difficult to understand and diagnose, but finally for me disabling the USB Mass Storage Device Support prevented me from going out and buying another motherboard that does not have such a strange behaviour with this feature enabled by default in the BIOS.
