Hello
I have the B650Pro RS, which runs fine with the BIOS 3.50, but if I update to the 4.03 I see an error message when booting into Arch Linux EFI stub: Warning: unable to protect memory? Though Arch boots and runs fine Re-flashing back to 3.50 and no message again Bug in the 4.03 bios, or does something need to be changed in the bios settings If need be please move this message to the correct section |

I have the exact same issue. I built a new PC with the ASRock B850I Lightning WiFi motherboard on Christmas Day and first thing I did was flash the BIOS to 4.03.
Running Arch Linux with the standard kernel (6.18.x) I get this error after selecting boot loader: "EFI stub: WARNING: Unable to unprotect memory range [xxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxx]: 8000000000000009" When I boot into the LTS kernel (6.12.x) I do NOT get this message. I have not tried to downgrade to the 3.50 BIOS yet. I do not run Secure Boot, it is disabled. I also had to set the PCIe M.2 to run at Gen4 as I got btrfs CSUM errors when it was running at Gen5 (yes I have a gen5 SSD, Crucial T705 4TB). Not sure if this is related but searching found that the "8000000000000009" code is for "EFI_OUT_OF_RESOURCES" and could relate to Memory or NVMe. |
