Regarding the B850 steel legend wifi, Ryzen 9, the m.2 drive Samsung 990 evo and windows 11.
After i updated the bios to the latest 4.10, i tried to install windows 11 but always got stuck cause Windows keeps asking for necessary drivers. My M.2 drive is recognised in the bios and is not in raid mode. I offered the install some drivers from the support page of the motherboard but windows rejects these. For days now i try to install windows 11 on this new hardware but nothing seems to do the trick. Anyone else has the same problem ? A fix for it ? Kind regards |

Make sure your drive is set up in AHCI mode:
Advanced > Onboard Devices Configuration or Storage Configuration. Ensure the M.2 slot is enabled and set to AHCI mode, not RAID or SATA. Make sure CSM is set to disabled under your boot tab in the UEFI. If you still can't see the drive in the Windows 11 installer then try downloading the "RAID Preinstall driver" for your board and extract it to a USB drive. When at the detected drive portion of installation, click on "have disk" then point to the folder you extracted the driver to. Let me know how it goes. |

Thanks for your help Xaltar.
In the bios of the mobo i don't find the spot where i can set the M.2 drive to AHCI. I can disable RAID though, if thats the same. Going to download the RAID preinstall driver and will follow your advice now. Will let you know in a short while. Thanks. |

Problem is solved !
The fix : i placed the installation usb drive in a USB3 slot instead of a USB2 slot, and then Windows 11 installed without any problem. Thanks for your help. |
