Hi I have the x299 steel legend motherboard . I'd like to know if there is a bios update to enable resizeable bar for a 3070 nvidia graphics card.
I'd also like to find out the procedure to enable it in the bios. Any help appreciated. Thanks you |

Hi Cormsok,
Thank you for your post. Please update the BIOS P1.30G for the CAM function. The BIOS file's download link is as below. X29STLG1.30G After updating BIOS, please follow the instructions below to enable "CAM". 1.boot into BIOS and Go to Advanced\chipset configuration 2.enable "Above 4G" and "CAM" 3.Disabled "CSM". Please make sure you are using the AMD RX6000 series or the NVIDIA 30 series with the vBIOS which supports Resizable BAR. I linked the instant flash SOP as below. https://www.asrock.com/support/BIOSIG.asp?cat=BIOS8 If you have other questions, please feel free to contact us. All the best, ASRock TSD |

Does the bios update 1.50 contain the resizeable bar option?

I don't see the Rebar/cam option under 1.50. Any luck since so many years? Official support team, any update on this?? Thank you! |

You will have to open a support ticket for this kind of issue. ASRock TSD does
post here, as you can see above, but not frequently. This is primarily a community forum for users to help each other and for ASRock to check for common issues that need resolving. You can contact ASRock Tech Support directly here: http://tw.asrock.com/events/tsd.asp |

Thank you for following up on this. I created a support ticket for this earlier, but the support response wasn't helpful. I suspect that was generated by bot behind the scene. Those were surface level support guidance that I have tried and followed. e.g. go to bios and disable cms and enable above 4g. I have mentioned this in the support ticket already. Not sure how this can move further like this if there is no real expert on the other side. Any other resources that I am not aware of by any chance? Thank you so much again for your reply. |

The BIOS provided by ASRock_TSD can still be found here:
https://botflakes.de/asrockwiki/bios/intel/ The site is maintained by one of our forum members and contains quite a few beta BIOS files that are no longer available anywhere else. 1.30G is a beta BIOS that likely added support for resizable bar/CAM specifically. Unfortunately, if you are not using the same board it won't work for you. It may be worth trying some of the X.XXB BIOSes uploaded around the same time if your board has one available on the site I linked. Typically any letter after the BIOS version indicates a beta BIOS. I am afraid that is all I can do for you on my end, I am just a moderator and don't speak for ASRock. |
