Guys I had same problem with my X870 Taichi. One day suddenly my LAN stopped working. No solution would work, I ended up buying USB->Ethernet dongle.
Some time later my Bluetooth stopped working, just gone from system. Tried all, reinstalling, BIOS etc. All seemed fine but it just wasn't there. AND! I found a solution in a different topic on this board by someone using older board years ago. THE SOLUTION IS: Unplug the power cable completely, leave the PC for a couple minutes like that, discharge all that might be left. Then reconnect the power cable to PSU and both LAN and BT are back! |

Awesome, that is exactly what these forums are here for. Not only to ask for help
but also as a repository of advice and tips to be used. I have made the thread a sticky post so it is easier for others to find. |

Thanks Xaltar. This repository directly saved me money I needed. I'll give more context in case others go through similar sympotoms.
Problem started with Ethernet rapidly disconnecting then connecting for like a minute straight, then it's ok for the rest of the day. This happened daily for a couple of weeks until it suddenly decided to just remain disconnected with a "network cable unplugged" status like OP. No amount of troubleshooting worked. New cable didn't work. Was about to buy a USB Ethernet dongle but a last Googling lead me to this thread. Full power disconnect restored functionality on first try. Hopefully this isn't a sign for a dying network adapter. |

That is great to hear. As for it being a sign of anything, I doubt it or the person
who shared the fix would likely have posted back here. It's more likely that something in the LAN's firmware got corrupted, a power cycle (full disconnect from mains and power switch pressed and held for a few seconds) would be the only way to clear corrupted values in the LAN's ROM. It could be caused by something as simple as a marginal/faulty cable sending bogus data or even a bit of debris/corrosion on one of the connector's pins. |
