Hello. I bought an Asrock B650M Pro RS. Problems started. I can only enter the BIOS once. If I press the F2 key again, the computer does not boot. The fans are spinning, all the indicators are on, but nothing is displayed on the monitor. To enter the BIOS again, you need to reset it using the jumper on the motherboard. But even in this case, I can?™t enter the first time. If you don?™t enter the BIOS, everything boots normally, but the Asrock logo is not displayed during boot. Just a black screen and suddenly the desktop turns on. I updated the BIOS. I also installed old versions. Nothing helped. Is this a motherboard defect? If you press the F11 key, the Boot and VGA post lights up, as well as a black screen. and nothing happens. 7500F processor, MSI 5060 gaming graphics card, T-Create Expert 2x16 GB DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 RAM

I forgot to mention. It was very problematic to install Windows. Every time it rebooted during installation, a black screen popped up and I had to reset the BIOS again and select the Boot Override windows Boot Manager (ADATA LEGEND 850) option. In other cases, the installation of Windows did not continue.

That definitely sounds like unexpected behavior. Have you tried booting with just one RAM stick or testing with onboard graphics (if available) to isolate the issue?

It might be the same as the problem I'm seeing since BIOS 4.20, but not sure when this bug started, so maybe way earlier as I was running on a ~2024 BIOS before!

There are certain things like standby that will kill my GPU - after this the "GeforceRTX" lights at the top are off and it can't output any video, but if I plug the monitor into the onboard graphics, then it is fine.

At first I thought it was just Nvidia drivers being terrible - they have been ropey as all hell since 566.xx (when the started vibe-coding them in Dec 2024), but it isn't driver-related at all as a hard power off won't even let me see the BIOS or another operating system... the whole PCIe slot is just dead!

The main trigger is standby (in Windows 11 / Linux), but I've even seen this in winPE the UEFI/BIO... the screen froze and the GPU disconnected and I had to switch over to onboard until I could apply the only "fix" I've found thus far.

Normally the only way to "fix" it is to completely physically remove the GPU from the motherboard (including the 12Vhp and DP, then re-insert it...

I've had it re-detect the GPU ONCE when I powered off, unplugged the power cable, "flushed" the PSU (holding power button on to get it to clear any residual capacitance) and then leave it overnight... then it worked the next morning... but other times this hasn't worked, so not repeatable.

If I just disable standby in Windows + Linux, then it seems fine for an extended period (days at least)... still not sure what triggered it in WinPE + UEFI/BIOS.

I hope they find a fix for this soon as it is really irritating to have to power off fully every night and then I'm reminded that it is still broken every morning when I have to power on and set my workflow up again... the fix is likely to be from a BIOS update as it only started with the last BIOS update.
