Hello, I installed the sound driver on the official site, but there is little sound from the headphones and less sound from the microphone, can you share the updated driver information?

It's just standard Realtek ALC887/897.
Personally, I wouldn't have bothered with a vendor driver. I'd have just let the OS install the default driver and leave it at that. I guess you get some sort of an extra control panel if you install Realtek software? Regardless, you should be able to control various settings from Control Panel -> Sound. From there, you can enable/disable, change levels, make default, change mic gains (Recording tab), and so on. |

the Realtek audio driver version currently listed for your A520M-HVS motherboard is 6.0.9384.1. here are much newer versions of the Realtek audio drivers direct from ASRock: 6.0.9556.1 RTK {released August 2023} 6.0.9539.1 RTK {released late July 2023} try any one of those new versions |

The newest driver I can find for the Realtek ALC887/897 can be found here:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B840M-HVS/index.asp#Download That board uses the same audio codec as the A520M-HVS. The Realtek ALC887/897 audio codec is used by a wide variety of boards from all manufacturers. See if the driver I listed works for you, if not then search other budget boards that have the Realtek ALC887/897 audio codec and try their drivers. I suspect the driver I linked should do the trick though. Drivers for older boards are seldom updated on their product page even if newer ones are available. |
