I am building a new computer with i7 8700, 2xG.Skill trident Z rgb 16Gb 3200, and 1 SSD samsung 970 Evo. The monitor displays nothing (connected with display port) and I get a 00 code.

I tried to use the clear cmos button. I did not find the jumper to clear the CMOS, but I remove the battery and tried the button.
I removed the RAM and tried the A1, then the A2.
I reinstalled the CPU after checking that it looked fine.

I always get 00.

any suggestion ?

on internet, they all say that the 4 pins is optional and only for overclocking.
For now I use only the 8 pins and the CPU is not warm

Dear Autentic,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Z390 Taichi provides an 8-pin ATX 12V and a 4-pin ATX 12V connector.
If your power supply only have 8-pin cable, please connect the 8-pin connector and the system can boot up without problem.
About the Debug code 00, it usually means the CPU problem.
If possible, please change another CPU to try.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD
