I have a 970 evo plus 500GB on M2_2, but temperature rise easily to 70-80°C, even with the original metal cover.
Anyone has similar issue and fix? Thanks Fred |

Well, found the solution, removed the AsRock delivered cover and assembled an ICY Box IB-M2HSF-703 heatsink with ventilator on my board. Hooked it to the motherboard chassis 1 and selected silence mode for the ventilator.
This was assembled on my Samsung 970 evo plus that normally reaches without load 68°C to 70°C, with this heatsink went down to 44°C. At the same time, the second SSD reaching the same 70°C before went down 54°C which Samsung magician consider high. Under heavy load (transferring 200GB from 970 to 2nd SSD, temperature remained exactly the same. Might mount the same device on the 2nd SSD, paid ca. 25USD for one. Fred |
