I am having an issue of the computer will not post if I turn off csm or turn on fast boot. I do not have a speaker to hear the beeps. The computer will act like it is starting but no video output.  I then have  to remove the cmos battery to reset the bios and all is good again. I know i could just leave the fast boot but the problem has me stumped and i hate to be stumped. I have installed windows 10 on both HD's. I have used Rufus to make sure that windows installs in uefi. My video card bios shows it is uefi.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Below is my system.

Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor

Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Founders Edition Video Card

ASRock - Z370 Extreme4 ATX LGA1151

G.Skill - Aegis 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive

Samsung - 840 EVO 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Corsair - CXM 750W 80+ Bronze Certified

Dear Woolfman72,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your case, we have built a system and fast boot works properly.

This is our configuration:

CPU: i5-8600k

MB: Z370 Extreme4 BIOS P1.60

SSD: ADATA SX8000 256GB M.2 PCIE

VGA: Zotac GTX 1060

We provide some suggestion to verify.

1.       Update the latest BIOS P1.60 to check.

2.       Check your SSD are at GPT mode.

3.       Remove the graphic card and use the onboard graphic to try.

Thank you!

Yours truly,

ASRock TSD

In such situation I can use my multimedia keyboard ))) Pressing "play" button can start a mediaplayer. If sound is present - then Windows booted OK  Smile   But in your case (turning off the CSM causes booting problem), I guess, your SSDs should be tested in the first place (MBR partition on UEFI system?)
