I have an ASRock B550 Pro4 motherboard and would like to install the APP Shop. The installation succeeds, but when I click on the desktop shortcut I get this error:

"This utility is not for this platform!"

The installation of the AMD Chipset Software was successful.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I got this error with all the other software from the product page of this motherboard. (https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B550%20Pro4/index.asp#Download)

Do you know why this doesn't work?

Thank you in advance!

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Challenger D 8G OC
ASRock B550 Pro4
(Motherboard version field is empty in sysinfo, I have never updated it)

I have the exact same issue. On the same motherboard. None of the utilities work.

Same issue with any of the applications and Asrock B550m Pro4.
Not even the disc included works.

Let's see if they throw some light on this issue

if all three of you have the same issue

then im guessing there is a problem with the app shop software and b550 boards

in which case here is not the place to get a speedy fix

i suggest opening a support ticket direct to asrock customer services

this is a forum consisting of normal guys trying to help normal guys

the asrock software team just wont get to hear of this issue here

(personally i think its probably been highligted already ,but opening up a support ticket would help )

Before everyone gets too focused on the AMD motherboard, I have the same problem on the ASRock Z370M-ITX/ac

My guess would be on some Windows update breaking something.

Hi,

same issue here. Have the B550 Pro4 and a fresh Win 10 Pro intstallation with all updates.
The Driver DVD dont work for me, the Setup start with the same Error Code.
So i installed all drivers frome Asrocks B550 Pro4 Website.
But A Shop and A Tunning doenst work.

(other issues with the realthek sound driver, i get no sound, only with the normal Win HD Audio driver).

Now i have opened a Support Ticket to Asrock.

Greeds

Could it have to do with the windows version? I also have Windows 10 Pro, are there others who also have this problem with Windows 10?

Do I also have to create a ticket here for the same problem?

still the same advice here

you need to open a support ticket direct with asrock

you may link this thread to indicate other people all with the same problem, but just posting the problem here will not get the software fixed

Response: (I'm going to try it now)

------------------------------------------------------
Dear Mr. XXX,

We have investigated the issue, but cannot reproduce.

Here is how we test

1.       BIOS defaults (F9)

2.       Download the latest Windows 10 (ISO) version via the media creation tool, and don't put it on DVD or USB stick

3.       Format a USB stick under NTFS

4.       Double click on the ISO file (it will open as a virtual DVD)

5.       Copy the content from this virtual DVD to the USB stick

6.       Start the system, and press F11 to get into the boot menu

7.       Select the UEFI USB device (see screenshot), this will install Windows in GPT mode (please connect only the device you want to install Windows on)

8.       Do a custom install, and wipe all partitions from the drive, then continue the installation

Once the Windows installation is complete, please go to the download page on our website

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550%20Pro4/index.asp#Download

You need to download the following drivers/tools, I put them in the same order you need to install them

1.       AMD chipset driver, this must always be installed before installing any other software or drivers.

2.       Realtek High Definition Audio Driver

3.       Realtek LAN driver

4.       Nahimic3 Utility

5.       ASRock Polychrome RGB

6.       Appshop

In fact you don't need the appshop, because all drivers and BIOS releases can be found on our website

When the ASRock Plochrome RGB tool is installed, it will always detect the hardware and run a firmware check after you close and restart it, it will update the firmware on the RGB controller on the board, please give it a few minutes( I attached 2 screenshots.

Please let me know the outcome.

Also for my understanding, do you use the official Windows release, or a altered copy, this is not for sharing with Microsoft, but for our understanding, because at some point you do something different from us, and we would like to understand what that is.

Mit freundlichen GrĂ¼?en

Kind regards

XXX

(Yes, i use an official Windows release, but the Pro version.
I reused this license from another broken device. Windows says that my digital license is activated and linked to my microsoft account, so that's fine I guess.)
