AN UPDATE: Problem Resolved

It turns out the problem was the monitor.
A QNIX QX2710LED, first generation.
It simply didn't like the output from the 2070.
I tested the card in 3 other machines and all was well.
When I changed out the monitor on my EP2C612-WS all was well.
Ordered a new monitor last night.

Thanks for your time.

Hi.

First post on this forum.

My System:

EP2C612 WS
QX2710 LED monitor
2 x E5-2630 v4
128 GB RAM
1200W PSU
Win 10 PRO

Currently I am using an EVGA GTX 1080 ti graphics card that has worked perfectly since I installed it in 2017.

I have been trying to upgrade to an EVGA RTX 2070.

Here's the problem:
When I install the 2070 the system boots, you can hear the Win 10 boot chime, but all you see is a full screen that starts white then goes to black then to red then green and then blue and repeats.

The 2070 connects to the monitor via an included HDMI-DVID adapter cable.

I have the 1080 installed in PCIE slot 7, set in BIOS to Gen 3, X16 and all works well. But I get the above result when I install the 2070 in the same slot.

An Important Note:
I have a system set up using the EP2C602 MOBO that normally uses an EVGA 980 ti. When I replace the 980 with the 2070 it boots right up with no problems.

Any thoughts from anybody?
