Hi, have you found the solution to this issue?

And I made sure onboard audio was enabled in the BIOS.

Today I used system restore to fix another issue, instead of returning to a restore point windows crashed and I ended up doing a clean reinstall. Everything is back in working order except the audio device, my PC doesn't seem to recognize it. I've never had this problem before.
In device manager there's an exclamation mark and status "device doesn't start (code 10). It's listed as "High definition audio driver". If I try to update the drivers from Windows it tells me that the most recent drivers have already been installed. This is my very simple build, it's my home office PC so no sound card:
This is what I've tried so far:
I have a different motherboard but the problem seems to be very similar to this (unresolved) topic: realtek sound not working It drives me crazy, any ideas? |
