That sux, but finally you have a functioning computer.

The 6800 and 5930 are still different generations of processor.

Use the below email to contact them at the California location.

support@asrockamerica.com

Offer up as much direct and straightforward info and any finding you can.

And, keep us posted here. For as I said the X99 platform is finicky when considering memory.

Hi guys,

News!!!
I just tested the whole set with a 6800k processor. Both kits worked on a quad channel !!! The Gskil and the Corsair. And also worked all 8 modules together from memory. I still believe this is a bios bug, or some bugs in it programming. I saw this same problem on several forums with the Asus and AsRock line 59xx and x99.

I need your help to address this issue to Asrock engineers. A response from them would be very good.

Thanks for the pics. Got 'em both.

While appreciating both choices of the two high performance kits you have, neither is certified by G.Skill or Corsair to function on the X99 Gaming i7.

Regardless of the motherboard manufacturer all X99 systems are extremely finicky concerning memory. I hate to say it but you've fallen prey to the downside of X99 memory compatibility in your two choices of memory kits you have.

Picking and choosing memory for an X99 system differs greatly compared to the previous generations where a gray area existed. The motherboard manufacturers _and_ memory manufacturers are acutely aware of what does and what does not function on Brand X's X99  motherboard.

Regarding this, you can choose to contact ASRock Tech Support yet I fear a BIOS being issued to address your compatibility issues wouldn't be something I'd hold my breath on. It's deeper than simply BIOS issue. Nor is is strictly an ASRock "issue" as all brands of X99 boards are finicky. It's inherent to the X99 platform in general.

If you still have a return grace period on one or both kits I highly recommend returning one or both kits and in their absence instead choose a compatible kits using the below memory manufacturers Memory Finder compatibility matrix's. This way you forego the compatibility headaches and instead receive a kit that has been tested on/against the X99 Gaming i7 and comes with a Guarantee of Compatibility by them.

A short list compiled and updated by myself while helping Users here determine compatibility issues.

Windows key > Run > msconfig > Boot tab > Advanced options > Maximum memory - if this is checked then uncheck it, click OK, then Apply, and reboot immediately afterwards.

Thanks for reply.

At the moment I'm not near the pc to see the Party Number. I'll check and then I'll let you know. But I can say that I use Windows 10 x64 more updated. Did you see the pictures? The image number 2 shows in Bios that only 2 detected modules, but in the other images of Bios they show all 4. I think we need a new bios update.
