OS: Windows 10 x64 Pro
AsRock Z370 Taichi
CPU: HexaCore Intel Core i7-8700K, 3700 MHz (Cofee Lake-S)
4x8GB DDR4-3200 DIMM PC4-25600
nVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB

Hi,

I have few problems from the beginning. First of all, when I start the computer is taking too long to leave the black login screen, but even when I set up in Bios not to show it, still stay there too long. Another work. And last one is with usb keyboard and mouse. When I am in Dos, they don't work as well.problem is that when I get to Windows.
I cannot use usb keyboard & mouse during first 10-20 secs. After this time, they
start to
I spend so much time to find out how to solve these problems, but I was not able to fix it by myself.
If someone could help me to solve it, I will really appreciate it because I spend so much money to build this system, and it is slower (boot time) than my lower system before.

Hi, Gonzo I.
1) My PC need 14sec. to pass POST
and another 13sec. to boot Windows10x64 with all drivers, codecs,... etc. (booting from SSD, "quick booting" in BIOS is Off).
IMHO, it is a normal boot time.
2) DOS & USB periferals: try to set in BIOS/Advanced/USB Configuration :
"PS/2 Simulator" ->"Enable";
"Legacy USB support" -> try "Disable" or "Enable" it;
also you could try to use PS/2 keyboard.
Obviously, switching DOS<->Windows causes this 10-20secs freezing.

And there is no way to make Post and Booting time shorter, like in the rest of other motherboards?

You are right , something is messed up. It is all in how you set it up. could be hardware config for the slow post time. As far as windows is concerned the drive may not be initialized correctly to the proper file table, MBR vs GPT.

This is the official way to get assistance from ASRock Tech Support

We may be able to help you here on the forums while you wait for a response however. Please provide your full system specs, including PSU brand and model, RAM brand and model and as you are having issues with your mouse and keyboard, it would be good to know what brand and model those are too. From your description so far I get the feeling something in your PC is not playing nice with the system.
