I see in the notes for the latest X399 Taichi BIOS (version 3.80) that they fixed something regarding 32GB memory modules. Are 32GB memory modules now supported on the X399 Taichi? There are none on the memory compatibility list.

If they are now supported, is the maximum memory supported on that board now 256GB (8x 32GB)?

These modules are new and the QVLs are old...
If Asrock fixed something regarding 32GB memory modules, it should be possible to use 8 pieces for 256GB in TR4 boards.
The same things happens to AM4 to get 128GB with 4 pieces.
- You can try and test it
- You can ask Asrock for the general support and with which RAM they evaluated

So I contacted ASRock support as you suggested and, over a week later, I still haven't received a response. Is it normal for support to take this long to respond?

It can take a while sometimes. Typically I get a response in a day or 2. I always
send tickets anonymously so I don't get any sort of preferential treatment so
this should be accurate for anyone in the EU and Asia regions (I have tested both
departments). The US however I have not tested in a few years now so I don't know
how their turnaround time is.

More often than not, when people don't get responses it's because the ticket
failed to send. Make sure you enter your details correctly and ensure you
received an automated response to the email address you entered. If you don't
get an automated response the ticket was not received by Tech Support. Check
your spam folder too as it often ends up there, I think its the ".tw" suffix
that does it.

If you still don't have a response by the end of Monday, send another one and
try selecting a different region.

The Regions are as follows:

Europe (all of continental Europe)
Asia (Asia, Eurasia and Australia)
USA

So when entering your location pick one that falls firmly into one of those categories.
