Whats a good linux board?  I thought this one got good ratings? So much for that.

My first venture from Gigabyte/Asus/Evga motherboards, I was hesitant now I know why.

FYI: memtest seems to e going fine 55% done now test 9.

Last thing in log before crash, not at the time of crash though but some time before.

Seems to me that this architecture is still Beta.  Reset it is not always I have now found and I need to cycle power supply off drain board and than start.

The same nasty USB cr@p the rest of the guys here are getting!

PERSONAL OPINION: judging by the sheer amounts of similar complaints for this board, I think it should never existed in first place. This board looks like some garage engineers did a side project for ASRock in their spare time...

Alas, other guys' issues like these are still unresolved. Dead

You could try UEFI re-flash and CMOS resets but ultimately I think this one is beyond our ability to fix.

My opinion again, it may not be what you're looking for but at least it's honest - swap this board for another brand. Do some reading in advance, just to make sure you don't end up with a similar stuff.

Option 2: RMA this board as many times it takes until you get working one.

Anything odd in dmesg or system logs in Debian? With the Linux I believe we have great chance to catch the error message(s).

Looks like a PSU, RAM or UEFI to me.

P.S. in which slot did you put the SSD?

AB350M Pro 4 Freeze on reboot. Shutdown Start cycle works.

AB350M Pro 4 new system with Ryzen 5 1600X
Evga 1060 6gb
16 GB 2666 Muskin AMD ram
Samsun 960 250GB NVMe
Latest Bios 3.30
Same issue from Debian Linux and Windows 10.

Board will go to reboot but once shut down just it is stuck in the pre boot zone at least that is where I think it hangs, "fans running "high than cycles down" power on", it takes a jab of the reset button to actually progress from this point holding power button down does nothing.

No overclocking done.
